About Me
My name is Chelsey Lyng. I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2006 and I have been a Sonographer for 17 years. I knew at a young age that I always wanted Ultrasound to be my profession. However it wasn't until after my son was born did I find my passion for Obstetrical ultrasound. Not only do I love what I do but I love seeing my patients and their families smile after seeing their unborn baby. I have assisted in the creation of two other 3D 4D ultrasound programs in the surrounding area. After much support from family, friends and patients, I was ready to take a leap of faith and start Gracious Gifts in honor of my little guy and in memory of my fur baby. So here I am ready to give you and your families a special unforgettable experience.

HD Live Imaging
HD Live Ultrasound is the newest latest technology. While 3D and 4D imaging allows you to see features of your baby, HD Ultrasound takes your experience to a whole new level. Since HD ultrasound creates incredibly detailed images, it allows expectant parents and family members to view their baby in true to life form.
Real View Enhanced Ultrasound Image
With our new state of the art Real View Enhancement technology we can transform your Ultrasound image one step further into reality. This is a post processing feature that is available in addition to any ultrasound session done between 26-33 weeks. After your ultrasound appointment, one HD image will be selected. Within two to three business days you will receive the most amazing digital photo of your unborn baby.

Gracious Gifts Ultrasound is an ELECTIVE ultrasound imaging facility. We REQUIRE that all mothers bring with them documentation of their medical, diagnostic ultrasound (previous report, Doctor's note with Gestational age, or ultrasound picture). We do NOT perform medical ultrasounds. However, if we are suspicious of a possible abnormality, your doctor will be notified. You must be 15 weeks gestational age to have your first ultrasound, there are no exceptions.

What is an elective prenatal ultrasound?
We offer elective 2D, 3D, 4D and HD live prenatal ultrasounds to provide a positive bonding experience of the mother, father and family members with the unborn baby. We feel that realistic surface images provide a connection between the parents and baby that can be beneficial to the whole family.
Women seeking an elective prenatal ultrasound with Gracious Gifts 3D 4D Ultrasound must already be receiving treatment with a healthcare provider for prenatal care. A routine ultrasound examination should have already have been performed to assess the gestational age of the fetus and to evaluate for fetal anomalies as well as the basic components of fetal anatomy recommended for screening. PLEASE NOTE AT NO TIME IS THIS EXAM TO BE USED IN PLACE OF A COMPLETE DIAGNOSTIC ULTRASOUND.
What is the difference between 2D/3D/4D and HD Live Imaging?
Is the 3D/4D/HD Live Imaging covered by my insurance?
At this point, insurance does not cover the costs of our ultrasounds. Since this is an elective procedure and is not intended to be a replacement for your doctor ordered ultrasound, you will need to pay the cost of this ultrasound as an out-of-pocket expense. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and debit cards.
Are they safe for me and my baby?
Extensive studies over 30 years have found that Ultrasound has not been shown to cause any harm to mother or baby. Routine scanning of all pregnancies is now normal throughout the United States. 3D/4D scans use exactly the same type and intensity of ultrasonic waves as in conventional 2D scan. 2D/3D/4D ultrasound utilize sound waves to look inside the body. The technology is similar to radar. A probe is placed on the body emits sound waves into the body, listens for the return echo and generates an image.
Do I have to schedule an appointment?
Yes, appointments are necessary for all of our services.
Are family and friends welcomed to join?
Yes! We encourage you to bring your friends and family to share this special moment with you. Children are also welcome. At our location our ultrasound room can comfortable accommodate up to three extra guests.
Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my elective ultrasound?
Drink plenty of water several days prior to your appointment to ensure that you have a sufficient amount of amniotic fluid. This allows for a more clear image. Also, Bring a large ice cold water or fruit juice with you to drink at your appointment. (unless you are told not to by your physician)
Will I always get a beautiful 3D/4D image of my baby?
Usually, but not always. Sometimes if the baby is persistently looking face down, i.e. towards your spine it may be difficult to see your baby's face. We make no promises that the images will be similar to those you might have been elsewhere or even from our facility, or that we can always meet everyone's expectations. Every baby scans differently, depending on it's gestational age, position, placental location, amount of amniotic fluid, and mother's body habitus.
Are you able to tell the gender of the baby?
Yes, in most cases we can provide an indication of the sex of the baby. We can't however guarantee that the baby will cooperate during your session. Certain factors such as body tissue content, developmental state and fetal position all affect the ability to determine the sex. We recommend 15 weeks or later for determining the sex of the baby.
Do you do dating ultrasounds? or Baby weight?
We do not do dating ultrasounds. We do give a baby weight after 28 weeks, but we cannot tell if your baby is too big or too small. We just give the weight for fun!
When is the best time to have a 3D/4D ultrasound?
This depends on what you are looking to see. Many mothers like coming in twice, early on, 16-24 weeks, when they can see the baby as a whole, and then again from 25-32 weeks to see a more detailed image of the face. Between 27-32 weeks your baby develops more fat and gets a more defined face. After 35 weeks, it becomes more and more difficult to obtain pictures since the baby is running out of room.
